Large-scale administrative limits of AFR (Aid for Regional Purposes) in the North - Pas-de-Calais (in 2015) The Treaty of Rome gives the public authorities of the Member States the possibility of implementing aid to "regional" enterprises in order to contribute to the development of regions in difficulty. These AFRs, intended for large companies and SMEs, make it possible to subsidise productive investment or the creation of investment-related jobs.
