Answer to the question: What types of welfare technologies are available in municipal health care? Welfare technologies are digital technologies that aim to maintain or increase the security, activity, participation or independence of a person who has or is at an increased risk of having a disability. The issue is about welfare technology that the municipality provides to the individual patient through prescribing under the Health and Medical Care Act, or that it has been introduced in other ways to support the staff or organisation, not those provided by means of assistance decisions under the Social Services Act or that the individual himself or his or her relatives buy on the open market. This means that the municipality has made a decision that everyone within the target group can, or will be able to, take part of the technology. Pilot or test activity means that it is an initiative that is limited in time, in the number of people who can use the technology, or that it takes place under specific conditions.
