In this study, we experimentally adapted P. lurida populations to host-association with C. elegans or a free-living lifestyle. From both treatments (6 replicate populations each), we sequenced individual isolates (47 evolved, one ancestral) that produced morphologically distinct colonies. This includes wrinkly host-specialists, which show improved persistence in the worm.
