Data on Software Tools in Computational Text Analysis Research

This repository contains two datasets. Dataset 1 (Journal Article Data) contains information on social science journal articles that use computer-assisted text analysis methods (published 2016-2020). Each article is associated with metadata (e.g., year of publication, journal name, scientific discipline) as well as the use of validation strategies and software tools mentioned therein. Dataset 2 (Software Tool Data) contains information about the software tools mentioned in dataset 1, such as programming language or the availability of tutorials for the tools.
