IoTSim-RPL-v1-2025

This is a \u201c.csv\u201d type dataset file generated from simulations of the IPv6-based routing protocol for low-power and lossy networks (RPL) in the Contiki-NG Cooja simulator, capturing detailed network behavior in a low-power and lossy network (LLN) environment. The dataset is 14 MB with around 41,000 rows, including over 23 features per log for each packet sent. The simulation environment consists of 50 client nodes, one root node, and one server node. It is suitable for a wide range of research applications, including routing optimization, network behavior analysis, anomaly detection, parent selection strategies, and the development of AI\/ML-based models for RPL enhancement. By providing a comprehensive set of parameters in real-world environments, this dataset enables researchers to examine, model, and improve RPL performance without the need to set up intricate simulations manually. It aids in federated learning, intrusion detection, energy modeling, and protocol testing, making it a valuable resource for IoT and WSN research.
