Missouri's Healthcare Distribution

<p>According to data published by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service, there are currently 173 hospitals operating throughout the Show Me State. Across those facilities, there are 22,114 beds. These figures probably aren't completely accurate, but the source is trustyworthy, so it is a good place to start.</p><p>Data retrieved from the Missouri Census Data Center indicates that, according to the US Census Bureau, Missouri had a population of 6,154,913 people in 2020. </p><p>Combining these two pieces of information, we can reasonably estimate that we have one hospital bed for every 278 Missourians.</p>
