Fishes in MZNA-VERT: populations affected by the Itoiz dam in the Irati river (Spain).

One of the main threats to freshwater fish species is habitat fragmentation caused by dams. Publishing collected data of location and abundance of species is useful tool to determine the ecology and health of the populations and perform efficient management and conservation plans. Here, the effects of the new Itoiz dam (Navarra, Spain) in fish populations are analyzed in a six year long study.

淡水鱼类所面临的主要威胁之一，便是大坝引发的生境破碎化（habitat fragmentation）。发布所采集的物种分布点位与种群丰度数据，是明晰种群生态学特征与健康状况、制定高效管理与保护方案的有效途径。本研究通过为期六年的观测分析，探讨了西班牙纳瓦拉地区新建伊托伊兹大坝（Itoiz dam）对鱼类种群的影响。
