Bacillus safensis strain:P1.5S Genome sequencing and assembly

Abiotic stress tolerant bacteria with multiple plant growth promoting mechanisms are considered an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers. Bacillus safensis P1.5S is a rhizobacterium which exhibits several mechanisms to stimulate plant growth such as phosphorus solubilization, production of IAA, siderophores and ACC deaminase. It is also capable of growth and P solubilization under stress conditions such as different pH, NaCl concentrations and temperature values. For these reasons, Bacillus safensis P1.5S could be considered as a potential biofertilizer in agriculture in the context of current climatic changes.
