Processed Black Carbon Atmospheric Concentration and Surface Deposition Datasets for the Khumbu Glacier Region (Pre-monsoon 2021)

This dataset contains the processed modeling outputs used to analyze Black Carbon transport and deposition at the Khumbu Glacier during the 2021 pre-monsoon season (March–May). Contents: Deposition Data: Daily and monthly processed NetCDF (.nc) files detailing Black Carbon surface deposition. Concentration Data: Daily and monthly processed NetCDF (.nc) files detailing atmospheric Black Carbon concentration over the coarse (0.25°) and nested (0.10°) domains. Regional Contributions: Processed CSV files summarizing the percentage contribution of Black Carbon from specific regional sources (e.g., Nepal vs. the Indo-Gangetic Plain). These datasets were generated using FLEXPART v10.4 backward simulations coupled with EnsemFire emission inventories. The analysis scripts used to generate this data are available in a separate software repository.
