HadGEM3-GC31-MM year-long ENSO, QBO, and sea-ice simulations

HadGEM3-GC31-MM year-long (June to May) simulations of two ENSO, two QBO, and two sea-ice states. The ENSO states are neutral ENSO and El Niño, the QBO states are QBO westerly and easterly, and the sea-ice states are present day and future sea-ice (following the PAMIP protocol). There are 150 ensemble members per experiment. HadGEM3 is run in an atmosphere only configuration. The variables making up this dataset are zonal wind (ua), sea level pressure (psl), vertical Eliassen-Palm flux (epfz), and Eliassen-Palm flux divergence (epfd). Zonal means are given for ua, epfz, and epfd. This data is uploaded to support the paper "Nonlinear response of the extratropics to tropical climate variability" submitted to Geophysical Research Letters.
本数据集包含HadGEM3-GC31-MM模式开展的两组厄尔尼诺-南方涛动(ENSO)、两组准两年振荡(QBO)以及两种海冰状态下的全年(6月至次年5月)模拟试验。其中ENSO状态涵盖中性ENSO与厄尔尼诺(El Niño)两类;QBO状态包含QBO西风位相与东风位相;海冰状态遵循PAMIP协议,设置为当代海冰与未来海冰两种情景。每个试验包含150个集合成员。该模式采用仅包含大气模块的配置运行。本数据集包含的变量有:纬向风(zonal wind, ua)、海平面气压(sea level pressure, psl)、垂直埃利森-帕姆通量(vertical Eliassen-Palm flux, epfz)以及埃利森-帕姆通量散度(Eliassen-Palm flux divergence, epfd)。针对ua、epfz与epfd三类变量,已提供纬向平均结果。本数据集上传的目的是支撑提交至《Geophysical Research Letters》(地球物理研究快报)的论文《Extratropics对热带气候变率的非线性响应》。
