Data and analysis scripts for "From curve fitting to mechanistic inference in electrocoagulation: A critical review"

This dataset contains the bibliographic records, documentary classifications, supporting evidence, and Python scripts associated with the critical review From curve fitting to mechanistic inference in electrocoagulation: A critical review. The principal analytical dataset comprises 369 reports published between 2016 and August 2026, including 203 reports with archived full-text availability and 166 record-level entries. Four additional reports with unresolved eligibility are retained for sensitivity analysis. The files contain bibliographic identifiers, DOI information, classifications of modeling and inferential practices, source-located evidence, and case-specific assessments of electrochemical source constraints, parameter interpretation, identifiability, uncertainty, and independent predictive validation. Uncertain classifications and limitations in document access are explicitly retained. The accompanying Python scripts reproduce the documentary summaries, sensitivity analyses, and analytical and synthetic examples concerning parameter identifiability and electrocoagulation source–capture dynamics. The numerical simulation data are distinguished from the documentary evidence extracted from published studies. The archive does not redistribute publisher full texts or licensed bibliographic exports. The material is intended to support reproducibility, methodological assessment, and further research on mathematical modeling and mechanistic inference in electrocoagulation.
