The INTERMAP Study is an international co-operative epidemiological investigation into macro- and micronutrient intakes and other factors influencing blood pressure levels of individuals (Stamler, et al., 2003). It enrolled men and women ages 40-59 years. The urine samples (based on 24-hour urine collection) selected for this dataset relate to the USA arm of the study from which 150 participants with obesity (body mass index, BMI > 30) and 150 participants with healthy weight (BMI between 18.5 and 25).
