Atmospheric pressure records from GONG network during the Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai volcano eruption

This dataset contains measurements of the atmospheric pressure and temperature from six network stations and one engineering site of the Global Oscillation Network Group (GONG). The locations are listed in the table below. The dataset covers three day period (14-17 January 2022) around the time of the Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai volcano eruption. The eruption created a blast wave (atmospheric pressure pulse), which propagated around the globe. Each GONG station recorded the pressure pulse as it reached the station. Example of the atmospheric pressure change at the GONG station at Big Bear Lake in California, USA is marked in the attached figure by the red oval (Tonga_blast_wave_GONG-BB.bmp).
