Marine Mammal Vocal/Acoustics Hourly Presence Detections

In the 'Hourly Presence Spreadsheets' you will find a folder for each
deployment. Each deployment folder has an hourly presence csv file for every ADEON
station.
The second data set in these folders are hourly marine mammal presence spreadsheets that are named following the convention ‘ADEON3_2018-11_HAT.csv’. To generate this data a suite of marine mammal call detectors were run against all of the ADEON PAM data, which generated an estimate of the number of indications per minute per call type. As described in Kowarski et al. (2021), manual validation was needed to validate the automated indications into reliable species presence / absence results. For this data a 0.5% validation was performed, and the results were downsampled to an hourly presence indicator. These results are intended to be used as the starting point for future researchers to investigate marine mammal distributions throughout the Atlantic OCS. The results have been summarized by month in Kowarski et al (In Review).
