This data shows evidence that interactions between Symbiodiniaceae strains influence the performance of their coral host.The data was collected as part of a study investigating the implication of inoculating coral recruits with multiple Symbiodiniaceae strains.This data was collected in the National Sea Simulator at the Australian Institute of Marine Science between November 2022 and February 2023.This data was collected using a Nikon D810, and by taking biological samples for NextGen sequencing. This data was analysed using code available at https://github.com/ViableSpider/SI_IVORY_2025
