Siniperca obscura and S. undulata genome assembly

We determined the genome sequences of both <em>S. undulata </em>and <em>S. obscura </em>using 10X Genomics technology and the next-generation sequencing. The assembled genomes of <em>S. undulata </em>and <em>S. obscura </em>were 744 Mb and 733 Mb respectively, With scaffold N50 are 1.34Mb and 2.75Mb. The genome completeness was evaluated using BUSCO, with complete matches of 93.7% and 93.1% in vertebrates orthoDB genes for <em>S. undulata</em> and <em>S. obscura</em> respectively. A total of 24,358 genes were annotated for <em>S. undulata</em>, with 95.8% of them having at least one hit to known genes in public databases. While in <em>S. obscura </em>the numbers were 24,360 and 93.6%.
