Microsatellite genotypes of Idaho giant salamanders in stream networks of eastern Idaho and western Montana

Individuals were sampled in 1st-order streams which were nested within catchments of confluent streams draining into a mainstem river. Catchments were nested within basins of three major rivers: the Lochsa (four catchments), the St. Joe (two catchments) and the St. Regis (two catchments). We collected 15 individuals from three 1st-order streams within each catchment. Individuals were genotyped at 9 microsatellite loci.

研究个体采集于嵌套于汇流溪流集水区（catchment）内的一级溪流（1st-order stream），该汇流溪流最终注入一条干流（mainstem river）。上述集水区均嵌套于三大河流的流域范围内，分别为洛萨河（Lochsa，含4个集水区）、圣乔河（St. Joe，含2个集水区）以及圣雷吉斯河（St. Regis，含2个集水区）。本研究在每个集水区内的三条一级溪流中采集了15个研究个体，并对所有个体的9个微卫星位点（microsatellite loci）完成了基因分型。
