The weaving map represents the area distribution of the particle size fractions classified according to the USDA methodology (International Standard, ref. U.S. Department of Agriculture). Each cell is assigned a % value of sand, silt, clay, skeleton and USDA textile class. Each parameter shall be accompanied by a reliability assessment of the estimated value. The representation of the territory takes place through a mesh structure consisting of cells with a side of 500 m. The attribution of values to the cell is the result of a geostatistical analysis applied to the Plain Soil Map (scale 1:50,000) and refers to the first 30 cm of soil.
