Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignancies and one of the leading causes of death in cancer-related disorders. Chemotherapy is highly ineffective in HCC patients and the number of drugs used is limited. Thus, new molecules are needed that could increase the effectiveness of the currently used regimens. In our research a multi-cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, AT7519, exerts positive effects on HCC cells: it inhibits proliferation, migration and the ability of these cells to form colonies. RNA-seq analysis was performed to uncover transcriptome changes induced by AT7519 in HCC in vitro. Experiment design: HepG2 cells were seeded on 6-well plates, and after 24h AT7519 was added at 200nM concentration. After the next 24h cells were collected and RNA was isolated for the preparation of libraries.
