Modulation of Exosomal miRNA, Danger Signals, and Inflammatory Proteins after Acute Stressor Exposure

Adult, male F344 rats were exposed to a 90-min intermittent stressor (1.5mA, 5-s, 60-s ITI tailshocks) or remained in their home cages and sacrificed immediately after stressor termination. Serum corticosterone, glucose, inflammatory proteins (IL1ß, IL6, IL10, and CINC-1, ELISA), Hsp72 (ELISA), and immune-related miRNAs were measured (Firefly BioWorks, multiplex) in exosomes (Exoquick) and in serum depleted of exosomes.
