This dataset contains IR, Raman, and LC/MS characterization as well as fluorescence and water contact angle measurements. The measurements provide detailed prove on the existence of the said functional groups and molecules as well as the characterization of the obtained hydrogels and the effectiveness of covalently binding oligonucleotides to the gels. The fluorescence images confirm the binding and subsequent hybridization of the fluorophore marked oligonucleotide strands.
