Fairway area (waterway material)

The fairway area is an area bounded by the boundary lines of the fairway intended for the use of waterway traffic. The fairway area also includes special areas for waterborne traffic designed in connection with the fairway, such as waiting, meeting and turning areas and anchoring areas.

The material contains the fairway areas entered in the waterway register of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The route depth of the fairway and the guaranteed depth of drilling shall be reported from the fairway area.
The bus area can be classified according to quality class, type, space and signage system.
