Geospatial data completeness and suitability for sub-national urban monitoring in Sub-Saharan Africa

Benchmark outputs from a systematic assessment of four open geospatial data stacks — Overture Maps Foundation (2025-01-22.0), the Global Human Settlement Layer (GHSL R2023A), WorldPop (2020 UN-adjusted), and Microsoft Global ML Building Footprints — across seven Sub-Saharan African countries: Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya, and Tanzania. Includes: Building Completeness Ratio (BCR) and Building Category Completeness (BCC) tables; Place Coverage Index (PCI) results; Population Grid Alignment (PGA) results; SDG 11 data suitability matrix with empirical justifications; Microsoft Buildings BCR; national and urban agglomeration benchmark tables; per-country three-way BCR completeness grids (GeoTIFF); and sub-district benchmark metrics (GeoPackage).
