Wuppertal ATOM Feed Illuminated routes in the cycling network

The ATOM Feed Download Service for illuminated routes in the Wuppertal cycling network provides a dataset for download, which includes the illuminated sections of the Wuppertal cycling network. The cycling network consists of the cycle paths signposted according to road traffic regulations in the city area of Wuppertal, the local signposted municipal cycle paths of the city of Wuppertal, including related sections of cycle paths outside the Wuppertal city area, as well as the excerpt relevant to Wuppertal from the cycling network North Rhine-Westphalia. The data set was created on the occasion of the publication of the cycling data in the Wuppertaler GeoPortal in the second quarter of 2015 in a labor-intensive, semi-automated process by matching the data of the lighting information system BELIS. It will only be continued after explicit identification of an update requirement. The line elements contained in the data set are extracts from the two data sets “Radwege Wuppertal” and “Radrouten Wuppertal”, which contain the city’s complete cycling network, represented by the central axes of the associated roads and paths. The dataset of the illuminated routes is therefore to be understood as supplementing these two data sets. The ESRI shape files, KML and GeoJSON files that the download service accesses as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
