Tasmanian devil facial tumour is a transmissible cancer that affects Tasmanian devils. It is clonally derived and transmitted by the physical transfer of living cancer cells. By sequencing the genomes of tumours collected from different geographical areas, we aim to identify somatic structural rearrangements that have occurred in the evolution of this infectious somatic cell clone.
