Farmer Cooperatives in China, 2000–2022: Registration Records from the National Industrial and Commercial Database

This dataset contains registration records of 2.71 million farmer professional cooperatives in China registered between 2000 and 2022. The data were extracted from the China Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Registration Database (National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System). Each observation represents one registered cooperative entity, with information on provincial location, organizational form, establishment and deregistration dates, operational status, survival time, industry classification, and registered capital. The dataset provides a comprehensive foundation for analyzing the temporal trends, regional distribution, industrial specialization, capital structure, and survival dynamics of the cooperative sector in China. This open-access resource supports replication studies, cross-regional and cross-industry comparative analyses, and evidence-based policy evaluations in agricultural economics and rural development.本数据集收录了2000年至2022年间在中国登记注册的271万家农民专业合作社的登记备案数据。本数据集的数据来源于中国工商企业登记数据库（国家企业信用信息公示系统）。每条观测值对应一家登记在册的合作社主体，包含其省级行政区划所在地、组织形式、成立与注销日期、经营状态、存续时长、行业分类以及注册资本等信息。本数据集为分析中国合作社领域的时间趋势、区域分布、产业专业化、资本结构以及存续动态提供了全面的研究基础。该开放获取数据集可支持农业经济学与农村发展领域的复现研究、跨区域跨行业比较分析以及循证政策评估等工作。
