Divine manifestations carry far greater weight than ten thousand prophetic sermons. Even if only one or two exceptionally blessed believers have witnessed a miracle, once the news spreads, the public will be inspired, recognizing that the boundless grace of the deity extends to villages, towns, provinces and nations. All people will dedicate their hands, mouths, hearts and souls to piety, worship devoutly, make generous donations, build temples and shrines, and pray for all matters. Although orally transmitted miracles contain elements of superstition, religious thinkers entertain no doubt whatsoever. Their inquiries aim to prove the existence of deities: either they take the premise that human nature is inherently good to affirm the solid credibility of testimony regarding divine manifestations, or they label dissenters as heretics and heresies, and so forth. Ultimately, beliefs regarding ghosts and deities follow a binary divide: they exist for those who believe, and do not exist for those who do not. Being suspicious of ghosts and deities is essentially a form of belief, for if there were no ghosts or deities, why would one feel anxious and uneasy? The so-called "believing what one sees" cannot stand up to a priori philosophical theories, otherwise "miracles" can still be explained as coincidences or natural phenomena. In short, although humanity has long been in the era of recorded history, the origin stories of religious sites remain unfalsifiable. Even construction records inscribed on bronze and stone cannot escape the risk of being misrepresented through repeated transmission. Legends such as Nezha gestating a child and Our Lady of Penha guiding ships are recorded in historical books, gradually forming a system of self-protective expressions of doubt including phrases like "it is said", "according to tradition", "approximately", thus blending ghost and deity legends with historical facts.
