Increasing Spatial Working Memory in Mice with Akkermansia muciniphila - Numerical source data

To identify gut microbes associated with cognition, we assessed spatial working memory in mice before and after fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). Mice were grouped according to changes in spatial working memory after FMT, and we provide here behavioral analysis data and gut microbiota abundance data for each group. Metagenomic analysis showed a positive correlation between Akkermansia muciniphila abundance and improved memory. In addition, we administered A. muciniphila strains GMB 0476 and GMB 2066 to confirm the association with cognitive function, and we provide here behavioral analysis data and histological examination data.
