资源简介:
Intriguing investigations spanning the last two decades have showcased the capacity of chiral molecular assemblies to serve as electron spin filters - an occurrence recognized as the chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect. In addition, the preferred adsorption of chiral molecules on ferromagnetic domains with opposite magnetization hints towards spin and handedness selective adsorption energies/processes. This implies that the adsorption of an enantiopure monolayer of a chiral molecule can lead to the stabilization/destabilization of spin up/down moments in an antiferromagnetic (AFM) layer. Hence, it should be possible to induce a net-magnetic moment by adsorption of a monolayer of chiral moments. Here, we propose to study antiferromagnetic thin films with adsorbed chiral molecules by XAS/XMCD/XLD (XNLD; XMLD).
