Genomics of Syntretus sp.. Syntretus sp.

The goals of this project are to sequence and assemble the genome of Syntretus sp., a parasitoid wasp of adult Drosophila. This species is the first parasitoid wasp known to infect adult flies; other members of the euphorine tribe Syntretini are known to parasitize adult hymenopterans. Continued development of genomics resources in this tribe will support further molecular and evolutionary research.
