Supplementary Table S2. A list of specimen repository numbers with sample, slide and slide position information, and measurements of cell count, cell size and colony size. Locality codes and sample numbers as in Supplementary Table S1. Slide numbers prefixed by “p” denote palynological stew slides. Slide position indicated by England Finder coordinates. Complete cell counts are given for specimens reasonably identified as intact, in two cases noted to be a reconstruction (“recon.”) where there is a gap with broken attachment structures and/or an unoccupied position in the geometry. For incomplete colonies the minimum number of cells is noted. Cell size is given in microns from at least four measurements per colony, prioritizing undeformed cells and reporting an average value. Colony size is given usually to the nearest 5 μm based on measurement through the centroid, averaging long and short axes for obliquely deformed discoidal specimens, or representing the maximum dimension for more rectangular-outlined colonies.
