*Gadus morhua* (Atlantic Cod) stocks in the Barents Sea are currently at levels not seen since the 1950s. Causes for the population increase last century, and understanding of whether such large numbers will be maintained in the future, are unclear. To explore this, we digitised and interrogated historical cod catch and diet datasets from the Barents Sea. Data includes temporal and spatial information, cod catch data and length distributions, and hydrographic data.巴伦支海的大西洋鳕鱼（Atlantic Cod，*Gadus morhua*）种群目前的规模达到了自20世纪50年代以来的历史高位。上个世纪该种群数量增长的诱因，以及此类庞大种群规模能否在未来得以维持，目前尚无明确结论。为探究这一科学问题，我们对巴伦支海的历史鳕鱼捕捞与摄食数据集开展了数字化处理与解析工作。该数据集涵盖时空信息、鳕鱼捕捞数据、体长分布数据以及水文数据。
