Register of Cultural Property (RBC)

The Directory of Cultural Property (RBC) is the indicative inventory of objects of the built heritage that are considered worthy of protection. The RBC inventory sheet includes the data necessary to identify the object (common, locality, address, parcel number, contact details). It gives a brief description that highlights the heritage interest of the object. It assigns a rating to the subject matter by recognising it of national, regional or local importance. Finally, a grid relating to the possible classification of the object makes it possible to determine whether it is a historic monument protected by the Township and/or Confederation. It also indicates, if necessary, whether the object is distinguished as an individual element to be preserved by the Inventory of Sites Built to Protect in Switzerland (ISOS).
