NSW Suburb is a dataset within the NSW Administrative Boundaries Theme (FSDF). It represents a gazetted boundary of a suburb or locality area. The Geographical Names Board (GNB) is responsible for new suburbs and major amendments. Local Government Areas are accountable for minor amendments. These minor amendments are still put through the GNB and are carried out under the “Minor position and Extents policy”.The dataset also contains postcodes that are held against each suburb, sourced and matched from Australia Post. This dataset was captured by \ndigitising the best available cadastral mapping at a variety of scales \nand accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000 according to the \nNational Mapping Council of Australia, Standards of Map Accuracy (1975).\n Therefore, the position of the feature instance will be within 0.5mm at\n map scale for 90% of the well-defined points. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, \n1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = \n50m. 描述:新南威尔士州郊区数据集是一套代表法定公布的郊区或区域边界的空间数据集,隶属于新南威尔士州行政边界专题(基础空间数据框架,Foundation Spatial Data Framework, FSDF)。地理名称委员会(Geographical Names Board, GNB)负责新郊区的划定与重大边界调整,地方政府区域负责小幅边界修正,此类小幅修正仍需提交地理名称委员会审核,并按照“小幅位置与范围调整政策”执行。
本数据集还包含各郊区对应的邮政编码,数据源自澳大利亚邮政并完成匹配。数据集的任何变更均需在土地宗地与产权专题的参考要素类的权限参考字段中留下记录。要素通常与土地宗地与产权数据的范围对齐,该数据集的更新受上述数据变更的影响。本数据集由新南威尔士州地理名称委员会提供的信息维护。

精度说明:本数据集与宗地与产权数字数据集保持位置关联与对齐。本数据集通过数字化采集现有最佳地籍测绘图生成,比例尺范围涵盖1:500至1:250000,符合澳大利亚国家测绘委员会1975年发布的《地图精度标准》。因此,90%的清晰定义点位的特征实例在对应比例尺下的位置误差不超过0.5毫米,即:1:500比例尺对应0.25米、1:2000比例尺对应1米、1:4000比例尺对应2米、1:25000比例尺对应12.5米、1:50000比例尺对应25米、1:100000比例尺对应50米。当前正在推进数据集空间位置与精度的升级计划。
