NRS-21900 | Commission Office Records [Royal Commission into the Former Chelmsford Private Hospital and Mental Health Services in New South Wales]

This series comprises records that were held in the Chelmsford Royal Commission Office that assisted the Royal Commissioner The Honorable Mr Acting Justice J.P. Slattery A.O. with the running of the Commission.The series includes records from the legal counsel assisting the Commission who were Mr B.H.K. Donovan QC, Mr J.K. O'Reilly and Mr C.J. Geraghty. Other members of the Commission office were Mr John McMillan, secretary; Mr T.A. Cunningham, solicitor; and Miss Helene Mountford.The records are arranged by the person in the office that held and used the records and were arranged to their personal style. Other records in the series were boxed and moved to the State archive noting where they were located in the Commission office, such locations as the glass cabinet, filing cabinet drawer 1, filing cabinet drawer 2, filing drawer 3.The information held is varied and covers a mixture subject files and reports of Psychiatric hospital and other hospitals that were reviewed as part of Term 1 (ii) of the Commission.
