Data supporting the Kaveri Delta study

This study investigates the control of sea-level changes and tectonics on the Late Quaternary depositional history of the Kaveri Delta, India. The research hypothesis is that marine transgressions during the Pleistocene and Holocene shaped the stratigraphic architecture and delta morphology. To test this, we analyzed four 25 m-long sediment cores using quartz OSL dating. The dataset contains OSL chronology details, including the sample depth, radionuclide concentrations, and material used.本研究探讨了海平面变化与构造作用对印度高韦里三角洲（Kaveri Delta）晚第四纪沉积演化历史的控制机制。本研究提出的科学假说为：更新世与全新世时期的海侵作用塑造了该区域的地层结构与三角洲地貌形态。为验证上述假说，研究团队采用石英光释光（Optically Stimulated Luminescence, OSL）测年技术，对4根长度为25米的沉积岩芯开展分析。本数据集包含光释光年代学相关细节信息，涵盖样品采集深度、放射性核素浓度以及测试所用物质类型等内容。
