Rhizosphere microbiome of Ilex paraguariensis in southern Brazil

This BioProject contains metagenomic sequencing data from rhizosphere soil samples associated with Ilex paraguariensis (yerba mate) plantations in southern Brazil. The study aims to characterize the diversity and composition of bacterial and fungal communities under different plantation ages and productivity levels. Sequencing of the 16S rRNA and ITS regions was performed using the Illumina MiSeq platform. The dataset contributes to understanding the interactions between soil physicochemical properties, rhizosphere microbiota, and yerba mate productivity.
