Ralstonia pickettii 12D. Ralstonia pickettii 12D was isolated from copper-contaminated sediment from a lake in Michigan. In addition to being highly resistant to copper, strain 12D is also resistant to nickel and cadmium. This organism will be used for comparative analysis with other heavy metal resistant microorganisms.
