资源简介:

Collocation is a word combination formed by words that appear together in texts more often than one would expect from the frequencies of their separate occurrence. Collocations can be very different in terms of the number of words that make up them, as well as the syntactic functions and interrelationships of those words. These can be idioms (e.g. blowing into a tooth), which are thoroughly presented by dictionaries, but rarely appear in texts; compound and expressive verbs, which are also typically presented in dictionaries (to overcome, to learn); as well as various noun phrases (e.g. green men). In addition to the above, collocations are, for example, still fixed compounds that are formed by words in the compound in their usual meaning (e.g. trees are broken, not broken; speeches are given but not delivered, but presentations are given and delivered), which is a major headache for foreign language learners.

搭配(collocation)指文本中共同出现的频次高于依据其各自独立出现频次所预期水平的词汇组合。搭配在组成词汇的数量、句法功能以及各词汇间的相互关系上均存在显著差异。其范畴涵盖词典中详尽收录但文本中罕用的习语(例如blowing into a tooth)、通常也会被词典收录的复合且具表现力的动词(如to overcome、to learn),以及各类名词短语(例如green men)。除此之外,搭配还包括一类由保持常规语义的词汇构成的固定复合结构——例如trees are broken, not broken; speeches are given but not delivered, but presentations are given and delivered,这类结构堪称外语学习者的一大学习难点。
