Wood potential: exploitable forest areas — Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes — 2022

As part of the assessment of renewable energy potential, the areas of exploitable forests have been characterised for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The assessment of this potential is based on a methodology developed by Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Énergie Environnement (AURA-EE) provided here in addition to the GIS data. First, the forest areas where logging is possible are identified and then, in a second step, the areas of potential usable forests are expressed at different spatial scales with several possible filters. Note that the method does not take into account the existing: already harvested forests are counted in exploitable forests. In addition, the methodology presented here is scalable and can be improved in the future.作为可再生能源潜力评估工作的组成部分，奥弗涅-罗讷-阿尔卑斯（Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes）区域的可开发森林用地已完成系统性特征刻画。本次潜力评估依托奥弗涅-罗讷-阿尔卑斯能源环境署（Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Énergie Environnement，缩写AURA-EE）研发的方法体系，相关内容与地理信息系统（GIS）数据一并随本数据集提供。研究流程首先识别可开展采伐作业的森林用地，随后通过多组可选过滤条件，以不同空间尺度表征潜在可利用森林的分布范围。需特别说明，本方法未纳入现有森林状态的考量维度：已完成采伐的林地仍被计入可开发森林范畴。此外，本次公布的方法体系具备良好可扩展性，未来可进一步优化完善。
