South China Sea Geomorphological Features Dataset
收藏资源简介:
This dataset covers the South China Sea and its adjacent waters within the geographic range of 0°N–25°N, 105°E–125°E, with a focus on two major tectonic units: the central abyssal plain and the peripheral shelf-slope transition zone. Through geomorphological classification research, our team generated a geomorphological feature map of the study area. The dataset comprises 69,026 terrain units, each with an average area of 62.88 km², and categorizes these units into 7 major types (continental shelf, continental slope, abyssal plain, seamounts, hills, troughs, and submarine canyons) and 13 subtypes. The dataset has a spatial resolution of 15 arc-seconds (approximately 500 m) and utilizes the WGS 1984 geographic coordinate system (EPSG:4326). It was projected into the Transverse Mercator coordinate system (central meridian: 115°E, scale factor: 1.0) and resampled to a 200-meter resolution using the cubic convolution interpolation method.
