The overarching goal of our project is to investigate the molecular mechanisms and evolution of bacteria–phage interactions in nature. The oyster's pathogen V. crassostreae and its phages constiture a interesting model to study the evolution of natural populations in ‘real time’. We performed a time serie sampling of 447 V. crassostreae isolates during summer 2021.
