AMZ-Cave dwelling bats in Eastern Algeria

The information of the ecology and lifestyle of bats is very limited in Algeria. In this paper, the results of an inventory study of the Chiroptera fauna were conducted between January 2014 and December 2015 in Chebket ES-Sellaoua Mountains (Eastern Algeria). Surveys were carried out in 10 caves along the region with a visual survey and animal captures. Five species were detected: Rhinolophus hipposideros, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, Myotis punicus, Miniopterus schreibersi and Pipistrellus Kuhli. They belonged to three families: Rhinolophidae, Miniopteridae and Vespertilionidae

阿尔及利亚境内关于蝙蝠的生态学与生活习性的相关资料仍十分匮乏。本研究于2014年1月至2015年12月期间，在阿尔及利亚东部的谢卜凯特·塞拉瓦山脉（Chebket ES-Sellaoua Mountains）开展了翼手目（Chiroptera）动物区系调查，并形成了相关研究成果。本次调查选取该区域内的10处洞穴作为样点，采用目视巡查与活体捕捉相结合的方法实施。此次调查共记录到5种蝙蝠，分别为：小菊头蝠（Rhinolophus hipposideros）、大菊头蝠（Rhinolophus ferrumequinum）、腓尼基鼠耳蝠（Myotis punicus）、施氏长翼蝠（Miniopterus schreibersi）以及库氏伏翼（Pipistrellus Kuhli）。上述物种分属于菊头蝠科（Rhinolophidae）、长翼蝠科（Miniopteridae）和蝙蝠科（Vespertilionidae）三个科。
