In agricultural production, conventional fertilizers release nutrients quickly, resulting in low fertilizer utilization rate and environmental damage. About one-fifth of China's farmland is polluted by heavy metals. Large-particle slow-release fertilizer has the advantages of precise nutrient release and convenient application, and biochar has the characteristics of adsorption of heavy metals, and the combination of the two characteristics can not only delay the release of fertilizer but also adsorb heavy metals in the soil, which is of great significance to ensure the sustainable development of agriculture. In this study, a large-particle multifunctional double-layer coated slow-release phosphate fertilizer (MBSRF) was developed, and its nutrient release mechanism and kinetic process were investigated, and its adsorption effect on heavy metal Cd (II.) in soil was explored.
