Digital Data from a Desk Based Assessment and Field Observation at Dadford Common, Stowe, Buckinghamshire 2012-2013

This collection comprises images, scanned site records and an archive inventory spreadsheet from an archaeological assessment undertaken by Network Archaeology relating to the proposed construction of a new horse trials course at Dadford Common, Stowe, Buckinghamshire (NGR 467000 238000). A desk-based study was carried out in July 2012, and a program of archaeological observation and recording was undertaken in October 2013.
Searches of national and county databases, the study of modern and historic mapping, aerial photography and written accounts, and the results of field survey, have identified a total of 126 sites of archaeological significance within the Study Area.
