WGS of E.coli from prostate biopsis. Whole Genome Sequencing of Escherichia coli from men undergoing transrectal prostate biopsy

Prospective study was conducted between April and December 2016 in 12 Urological Departments in Poland. Rectal swabs were collected from 621 patients undergoing transrectal prostate biopsy. Twenty-eight of 32 PMQR-positive isolates recovered in this study were subjected to whole genome sequencing analysis (WGS). All steps of WGS (DNA purification, library preparation and sequencing) were performed at National Institute of Public Health NIH – National Re-search Institute.
