Microbial Dysbiosis and Functional Metagenomic Profiling reveals the Potential Role of Methylobacterium in Prostate Cancer

In this study we analyzed the composition, diversity, and functionality of the prostate microbiome in a cohort of PCa and BPH patients of Arab ethnicity, representing an underexplored population from the UAE. Using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples, we also characterized alterations in the PCa microbiota in relation to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, Gleason grade, and survival outcomes.
