Twitter data on 2021 italian vaccine debate

The dataset contains tweets related to Italian vaccine discussions collected in the period from September 1st to September 24th 2021. The dataset consists of ∼1.8M tweets in Italian, and ∼ 220k URLs. We relied on Twitter’s streaming API to collect those tweets using a keyword-based approach. The keywords we use are variants of the words 'vaccination' ('vax', 'vaccino', 'vaccini', 'vaccinarsi'), 'novax' (An individual who is against vaccination), Covid-19 vaccine names ('Astrazeneca', 'Pfizer-BioNTech', 'Moderna', 'Sputnik'), greenpass.
