Composition and antifungal activities of the leaf essential oil of Litsea coreana from Taiwan

The hydrodistillated leaf essential oil of Litsea coreana was analyzed to determine its composition and yield. Fifty-two compounds were identified, the main components being n-decanal (27.5%), 2e,6e-farnesol (25.8%), -eudesmol (10.3%), ethyl n-dodecanoate (8.0%) and τ-cadinol (6.6%) were the major compounds. Oxygenated sesquiterpenes (56.8%) and non-terpenoids (37.0%) were the predominant groups of compounds. The leaf oil exhibited excellent antifungal and anti-wood-decay fungal activities.

本研究对朝鲜木姜子（Litsea coreana）叶片经水蒸馏法提取的精油开展成分与得率分析，共鉴定出52种化合物。其中主要成分为正癸醛（n-decanal，27.5%）、2e,6e-金合欢醇（2e,6e-farnesol，25.8%）、β-桉叶醇（β-eudesmol，10.3%）、月桂酸乙酯（ethyl n-dodecanoate，8.0%）以及τ-荜澄茄醇（τ-cadinol，6.6%）。氧化倍半萜类（56.8%）与非萜类化合物（37.0%）为该精油的优势化合物类别。该叶片精油展现出优异的抗真菌及抗木材腐朽真菌活性。
