资源简介:
Flanders is composed of an alternation of aquifers (sand, gravel, chalk, rock, etc.) and regionally occurring non-aquifers (e.g. clay). The sequence of these aquifers and aquitards has its own coding in Flanders: hydrogeological Coding of the Subsoil of Flanders (HCOV coding). The HCOV coding is composed of main hydrogeological units, sub-units and basic units. The main unit brings together a sequence of geological layers which have broadly the same hydrogeological characteristics and thus form a whole. HCOV_0200 (Kempens Aquifer System) consists of all Tertiary and Quartarian deposits above the Boomse clay layer. Geographically, they appear mainly in the Kempen basin. This concerns the zone to the north-east of the day summer of the Formation of Boom. This hydrogeological zone consists mainly of a succession of several Tertiary and Quartarian sand, alternating with local clay layers, whether important or not. The dataset ‘HCOV_0250, thickness of the Mioceen Aquifer system’ represents the thickness of this hydrogeological layer in a grid per grid cell. The sub-unit ‘HCOV_0250 Mioceen Aquifer system’ concerns the main hydrogeological unit in the Kempen, consisting mainly of miocene deposits. The aquifer is formed by the sand belonging to the Formations of Diest, Berchem, Bolderberg, Voort and Eigenbilzen.
